Fernando Tempesti, I Brogi al tempo dei Brogi

Chi  erano  i  Brogi  per  i loro contemporanei?  Quale  il
giudizio che veniva dato della loro attivitą di fotografi?
Attorno  a questi interrogativi ruota il breve profilo  che
tende  anche  a  proporre, in forma velata,  una  sorta  di
confronto con i pił noti concittadini, i fratelli Alinari.
Ne  risulta un quadro di grande simpatia dove alle indubbie
qualitą tecniche e imprenditoriali del fondatore Giacomo e
del  figlio  Carlo  si  aggiungono,  pił  importanti,   le
qualitą morali ed umane e le capacitą organizzative.


Who were the Brogi to their contemporaries? What evaluation
was  given  to their photographic activities? Around  these
questions  revolves a brief profile that tends to  suggest,
in  a  veiled  form, a kind of comparison with  the  better
known  Alinari brothers. A likeable image of them  emerges,
in   which  the  undoubted  technical  and  entrepreneurial
qualities  of  the founder Giacomo and his  son  Carlo  are
associated  with  their  moral,  human  and  organisational
abilities.
